As part of our commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance Sustainability (ESG), we have started to introduce biodiversity sites across our neighbourhoods.
Alongside our contractors, we have made the commitment to introduce 5 new sites each year. You can see some progress photos of our first 3 below.
We have taken some brilliant learnings from the projects so far and are looking forward to meeting with Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust in July to learn more about how we can keep improving.
We aim to introduce more wildflower and biodiversity sites across our neighbourhoods, so if you know of an area that might work, add your suggestion in the ideas board below!
🌳Please also fill in the survey below to help us understand how we can improve our green spaces for you! 🌸🌿

Libby - Sustainability Manager currently have a Hull University student working with her on a biodiversity project. The two main outcomes they are hoping to achieve are as follows:
Gain an understanding of customer knowledge/opinions of local green spaces
Produce a campaign/website page, article or similar improving knowledge around biodiversity sites, jargon busting etc...
To achieve the first point, we have a short survey for customers input. Please help us out and have your say!
Did you know that we planted 29 orchard trees across our neighbourhoods earlier this year? This was in addition to 150 saplings planted in partnership with The Conservation Volunteers I Dig Trees scheme!
As part of Green Week, we met with the South-East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership to undertake some maintenance on the trees.
The trees are thriving, with one customer explaining that the local children have been “really excited to see that some of them have already started growing apples”!
This small pocket of land was overgrown and has started to attract high quantities of litter. The site has been cleared and planted with wildflower seeds.
This site started with several dead trees and grass that was cut throughout the year. We have planted new trees at the site, alongside hedging across the fence.
