  • West Marsh's Spring Clean Project

Delivering the second phase of our spring clean!

On Tuesday 21 April, we’ll be delivering the second instalment of our West Marsh spring clean project, building on the positive progress made during the first phase of the initiative.

Activities will run from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, with the meeting point based at the car park on Tennyson Street.

The first phase of the project took place on Wednesday 25 March and focused on tackling fly‑tipping and general littering across the neighbourhood. Through litter picking and the use of on‑site skips, significant amounts of waste were cleared, making a visible difference to the area.

The second phase will now turn its attention to sprucing up block courtyards and shared communal spaces in time for the warmer months ahead.

As part of the improvements, we’ve acquired new benches and floral planters, which will be installed across our blocks to create welcoming spaces where customers can socialise and enjoy the outdoors.

The planters will be filled with flowers and plants chosen for their pollinator-friendly qualities, helping to support wildlife as well as brighten up the surroundings.

New clothes lines will also be installed in communal outdoor areas, providing improved access to clothes drying and helping to reduce damp and mould forming indoors.

By delivering both practical and aesthetic improvements to the neighbourhood, the West Marsh project is all about creating places that our customers can really be proud of.
