Fenside
Your Neighbourhood is located within South Lincolnshire, towards the west of Boston, which is known for its import and export industries (the Port of Boston handles more than one million tons of cargo per year). The area has a mix of bungalows, houses, flats, and is the home of the Hinton Court sheltered housing scheme.
Fenside is part of the Boston and Skegness constituency, represented by Reform UKMP, Richard Tice. The estate falls under the Fenside Ward with two councillors representing the local area.
The population of Fenside is about 5,102 as recorded in the 2021 Census. Lincolnshire Housing Partnership manages 800 homes in the area.
Your local facilities include several schools and colleges, numerous shops and supermarkets, Pescod Squares shopping centre, and Fenside Community Centre. The Fenside Neighbourhood is just a ten-minute walk from the town centre, and five minutes from the nearest supermarket.
There are plenty of green spaces in the surrounding area such as Fenside CountryPark, including close proximity to the River Witham so locals can enjoy a stroll or peaceful days out.
Residents of Fenside Estate will benefit from the close-knit community, with various community groups, sports clubs, and youth activities available for residents of all ages.
The area has great transport links, with frequent bus and rail services that connect throughout the town and to wider nationwide routes from Boston train station. There is also easy access to major roads like the A52.

Community clean-up Franklin Close, Boston.
On Wednesday 17 June, we’ll be hosting a community clean-up event between 10:00am – 3:00pm at Franklin Close, Boston.
Like all our clean-up days, the initiative is all about bringing the community together to help customers appropriately dispose of waste, tackle fly-tipping and improve the overall appearance of the area.
We’ll have at least three skips on hand, meaning customers and other residents can benefit from getting rid of their unwanted items with relative ease.
Electrical items and white goods are unable to be accepted for refuse.
In line with our commitment to sustainability, items in a good, salvageable condition will be set aside for donation or repurposing.
We’ll also have litter picking equipment available for anyone wanting to join in on a litter-pick around the local area.
If you're able to lend a helping hand on the day – or even able to help spread the word! – your support would be hugely appreciated in what promises to be a brilliant opportunity for the Fenside community.
For more information on how you can get involved, please contact Neighbourhood Officer Jason Cuthbert. We hope to see you there!

Fenside's Fright Fest
On Thursday 30 October, we're bringing a special Halloween event to our Fenside neighbourhood!
Taking place at Hinton Court's Communal Room, the event will run from 10:00am - 2:00pm and is an open invite to anyone in the Fenside community; whether they're an LHP customer, or otherwise.
Featuring a variety of ghoulish activities suitable for all ages, we'll have Halloween themed games, autumnal arts and crafts, pumpkin painting, costume making, candy apples, trick-or-treat bags, and lots more on offer!
There'll also be a ‘Mini Monster Corner’ - an area that we'll set up specially for younger children, with age appropriate activities.
Costumes aren't required, but they are very much encouraged - so any customers attending are free to dress for the occasion in their spookiest attire!
Events like this are the perfect opportunity to engage with the community in a light hearted way, giving local families something to look forward to over the October half term.
Spread the word amongst customers - for what promises to be a fang-tastic event for Fenside this October!
