October Patch Audit

October’s monthly patch audit took place last week with the focus on the area around Battery Street and Worsley Road.
Thanks to Cllrs Karen and Stewart Swinburn, Cllr Crofts (+ Milo the dog), Anthony Horran, Senior Environmental Health Practitioner from NELC and Sgt Dave Cave from Humberside Police for joining us.
Issues identified/discussed included:
- Instances of fly-tipping – ourselves and NELC will continue to investigate,
- Abandoned vehicles – NELC are making enquiries with respect to these,
- Neighbourhood parking issues on Worsley Road,
- Anti-social behaviour in around the new play park on Spring Street,
- Concern over empty LHP properties.
As update form the issues identified from the September walkabout:
- NELC in conjunction with the DVLA removed two vehicles from Hadleigh Road,
- NELC have continued their investigations into fly-tipping and have spoken with alleged offenders and are considering enforcement action; where appropriate LHP will also take tenancy enforcement action,
- A multi agency meeting took place in relation to an area of land at the confluence of Ings Lane and Newark Walk with work booked in to improve the area,
- LHP have visited several properties with regards to the condition of their garden/property.
Lincolnshire Housing Partnership conducts monthly walkabouts of all our estates to enable customers and partner agencies to join us to discuss how LHP can improve their neighbourhoods including issues such as grass cutting, planned maintenance works, parking issues, play areas, security lighting, empty properties, plans for unused garage sites, LHP fencing, and, Anti-Social Behaviour in the area etc. If you wish to join us please get in touch as everyone welcome.
