Ings Lane

As you may be aware, a major clean-up is currently taking place on Ings Lane. This initiative aims to improve the area and encourage all residents to take pride in their community.
It’s a great opportunity for everyone to take ownership of the space and help maintain a clean and tidy environment. Let’s work together to keep Ings Lane looking its best.
Please report any instances of fly-tipping so they can be addressed promptly.
Everyone is responsible for their own waste and has a duty of care to dispose of it appropriately. Improper disposal affects many people—not only is the waste unsightly, but it can also attract flies and vermin, pose health risks, and lead to further fly-tipping and other anti-social behaviour.
If you witness fly-tipping, please use the ‘Report It’ page on the NELC website and click on ‘Keeping Our Area Clean’, or call NELC on (01472) 313131.
Do not approach anyone or attempt to search through the waste, as this may be harmful. A description of the individuals involved, along with any vehicle details (if applicable), the date and time of the incident, and the type of waste deposited would greatly assist any investigation.
Please note: if NELC cannot prove beyond all reasonable doubt who left the rubbish, they cannot enforce its removal.
LHP, ITC, and NELC work closely together to tackle fly-tipping and will actively seek evidence during removal. Any LHP customers found fly-tipping or failing to make appropriate arrangements for waste disposal may be in breach of their tenancy agreement and risk losing their tenancy.
Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping Ings Lane clean.
There are several ways you can help keep the area clear and dispose of your waste correctly:
- Work with your local community – Organise regular clearance days and/or hire a skip with your neighbours. Just taking a few minutes each week/fortnight to litter pick or remove larger items from the area can make a big difference. For litter pick advice visit: www.nelincs.gov.uk/LitterPicks. You can also use the services below together to share any costs. If you have a car, help your neighbours with their extra waste by taking it to one of our tips.
- Community Recycling Centres (CRCs aka tips) – Household waste can be taken free of charge to our two tips. There are some restrictions in place, and you may need to register your vehicle online before you visit: www.nelincs.gov.uk/Tip
- Bulky Household Waste Collection Service – For more details and to book a collection visit: www.nelincs.gov.uk/BulkyWaste or call (01472) 326288.
- Hire a private licensed clearance company/waste carrier – Always ask for their waste carrier’s registration number. Check a registration on the Environment Agency website. You should also obtain a receipt or waste transfer note.
Working together we can make Immingham a safe and pleasant environment for everyone to enjoy. Thank you in anticipation of your support.
Thank you for your contribution!
