Your Neighbourhood is located within North East Lincolnshire, between West Marsh and the adjoining seaside town of Cleethorpes.

East Marsh is currently part of Great Grimsby and Cleethorpes constituency, represented by Labour MP, Melanie Onn. The areas fall under the East Marsh ward, consisting of three local councillors.

The population of East Marsh was recorded at 10,669 in the 2021 Census. Lincolnshire Housing Partnership is responsible for 979 homes.

Your local facilities include several schools and supermarkets, hotels and function suites, medical centres, and plenty of green areas such as Grant Thorold Park.

Nearby, Cleethorpes has over four miles of golden sandy beaches, is home to Cleethorpes Town F.C and Grimsby Town F.C, and has numerous tourist attractions such as the Coast Light Railway, Cleethorpes pier, and The Signal Box Inn (the smallest pub in the world).

Town residents can benefit from frequent bus and train services, with lines and connections to train stations nationwide. There are also quick and easy road connections to the nearby A180 which links to the local town of Cleethorpes.

    The Walkabout takes in the area Albion Street to Railway Street and Wellington Street to Duncombe Street.

    Next Wednesday (30 April 2025) marks Stop Food Waste Day, a great reminder to think about how we can reduce waste in our kitchens and make the most of what we have.

    To support this, there’s a free cookbook available that’s full of brilliant recipes designed to give a second life to commonly wasted ingredients like stale bread, bruised fruit and veg, and even discarded peels.

    I thought I was doing well with food waste at home, but this book introduced me to some fantastic new ideas!

    We're sorry to announce that the East Marsh Fun Day has been postponed. We know this is disappointing news, and we were really looking forward to seeing everyone. But don’t worry – watch this space! We’ll be rebooking the event very soon and can’t wait to bring the fun to East Marsh.

  • Postponement of Community Event

    Hello

    It is with great sadness that, due to the weather conditions forecast for tomorrow, we have agreed with our partners to postpone the upcoming event on the East Marsh tomorrow. We are now looking to reschedule it during the next school holidays, with the aim of holding it in the summer months when the weather is expected to be more favourable.

    In the meantime, to ensure no child misses out, Jade and the Housing team will be delivering the Easter eggs directly to families in the East Marsh area.

    LHP Neighbourhood Team Leaders have been out with Councillor Aisthorpe and Councillor Emmerson delivering leaflets for the family fun event on the East Marsh on Wednesday 16th April. Come and join us for a fun filled eggselent day and possibly win some Easter egs


  • East Marsh Walkabout 3/4/25 at 10 am

    Come and join the Patch Walkabout on Thursday 3rd April 2025, meeting at 10 am at Elliott House, Albion Street.

    We will be walking around the area Hope Street to Pasture Street/Albion Street to Victor Street.

    We will be looking at how the area can be improved, so if you have any ideas please pop along.
