Consultation on Relocation, Resettlement and Home Loss Policy
We are reviewingRelocation, Resettlement and Home Loss Policy and looking for your feedback and suggestions .
There are no changes to the current version of the policy based on legislation, however we want to know if there is something that would make it easier read or improve it otherwise.
Current version came in as a result of the new regulations around Home Loss Payments came into force on 1 October 2023. The new legislation increased the minimum home loss payment amount a person can receive for losing their home from £7,800, to £8,100.
This policy sets out the terms and conditions for relocating customers where we have served notice of our intention to demolish, dispose of their homes, or to complete major repairs that require customers to temporarily move out of their homes. It sets out how we will support and assist throughout the relocation period including assisting with finding suitable alternative accommodation, the rules within the Local Authorities allocation policies concerning allocating move-on accommodation, and the payment of home loss and disturbance expenses.
You can read the policy in full in the Documents section and see legislation under Important Links section on this page.
You can give us your feedback using the form below.
