Staniland & Boston town
Your Neighbourhood is located within South Lincolnshire, towards the west of Boston, which is known for its import and export industries (the Port of Boston handles more than one million tons of cargo per year).
Staniland is part of the Boston and Skegness constituency, represented by Reform UKMP, Richard Tice. The estate falls under the Fenside Ward with two councillors representing the local area.
The Staniland Neighbourhood is a 10-minute walk from the town centre, 5 minutes from the nearest supermarket, and has Staniland Primary School at its heart. The neighbourhood contains a mix of bungalows, houses, flats and is the home of LHPs Extra Care Scheme, Mayfields.
There are 2 Council managed Parks on the Estate with playing fields. Within the neighbourhood there is a local Co-Op, Doctors Surgery, Pharmacy and Fish & Chip shop. There is a strong family community feel within the Staniland neighbourhood, with many of its residents having called it home for many generations.

Skip it Success!
On Friday 27th June our Staniland customers welcomed the latest round of our community skip clean-up days to their community!
To support our customers in clearing out unwanted items and to help reduce fly-tipping in the area, we were able to provide six skips, four of which were generously donated by our partners, Acorn Taxis, Devlins, Synergy and Brothertoft Builds.
We also had some refreshments on hand for colleagues and customers in the warm weather, kindly supplied by Woodville Road Cooperative!
Colleagues volunteered their time to help tidy the neighbourhood ahead of the summer holidays - litter picking, loading items into skips, and offering general support and information to customers.
Building on the fantastic inclusivity shown at last month’s Fenside skip day, we supported customers with limited mobility or those unable to leave their homes thanks to our brilliant contractors, CHM, who spent the day moving items with their van - ensuring everyone had their chance to take part in the clean-up!
We were paid a visit by representatives from Boston Borough Council as well as the newly elected Mayor of Boston, Barrie Pierpoint, who spent some time chatting with colleagues and customers about the local area.
Pupils from Staniland Academy came to lend a helping hand; picking litter and speaking to our colleagues about the posters they made and how they’ve been learning all about the importance of looking after the environment!
Taking full advantage of the help available, customers filled all six of the skips to the brim by the time the event came to a close around 4pm!
We were also able to help a member of the community who had experienced a significant fly tipping issue behind their home, with colleagues and council representatives working together to completely clear the area; alleviating a lot of worry for the home owner.
With sustainability being a key point of focus for us, we were again able to set aside items in salvageable condition so that they could be donated or repurposed; namely scrap metals which were taken separately.
A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support the event! Your outstanding commitment to our customers made a meaningful impact on the Staniland community.
Thank you for your contribution!

Love Where You Live: Keep It Clean!
Strong communities start with strong partnerships, and we’re excited to share our ongoing collaboration with Local Primary School Together, we’re working on a fantastic initiative to help keep our neighbourhood clean and free from issues like fly tipping.
As part of this project, we’re engaging with the school's students to explore the importance of looking after the places we live and play in. The kids have been learning about the impact of waste and pollution on our environment and, in turn, are coming up with ideas on how to keep our local areas clean and safe.
We have a range of creative ideas to turn into signage — designed by the students themselves — that will serve as friendly reminders to keep our neighbourhood clean and tidy. These signs will be strategically placed in areas that are commonly affected by fly tipping and other waste-related issues.
Our goal is to raise awareness and create a lasting, positive impact on our environment. Working closely with Communications, we plan to turn these ideas into impactful signage that will not only look great but help make our community cleaner and safer for everyone.
This is just the beginning, and we’re thrilled to see the children’s creativity and enthusiasm shine through in their designs. We look forward to sharing more about this partnership and the wonderful ideas the students have come up with!
Stay tuned for updates and let's all do our part to keep our neighbourhood clean! 💪
