Supporting customers in tenancy sustainment

We are looking for ways in which we can be proactive in assisting our customers with managing their rent account.

The purpose of these customer engagement workshops is to work collaboratively with customers and staff to co-design the new Income Recovery process.


At this stage, we do not have a proposed process because we want to ensure that customer's input shapes the design from the outset.

This approach helps us create a process that reflects customer needs and delivers better outcomes for us all.


BENEFITS:

To improve rent collection performance, support earlier intervention with tenants at risk of arrears, and reduce financial hardship and eviction risk.

  • More timely and supportive contact from Income Officers.
  • Improved access to advice and support for tenants at risk of arrears.
  • Reduced likelihood of arrears escalation and enforcement action.
  • More efficient rent collection and resource allocation.
  • Better insight into tenant risk trends.
  • Improved tenant outcomes and reduced arrears.
