Together for Tomorrow: Community Event Information
This August, Sutcliffe Park in Nunsthorpe will become a hive of activity as we play host to our "Together for Tomorrow" event, a community action day held in collaboration with Humberside Police and local partners.
Designed to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour locally, the event takes place on Tuesday 12 August from 10am to 2pm.
Customers of all ages will find plenty to explore, from interactive stalls offering a range of support services, to engaging activities designed to raise awareness about critical issues within the area.
A key purpose of the day is to help encourage the reporting of antisocial behaviour (ASB), domestic abuse, and crime – including sensitive topics, such as child criminal exploitation and child sexual exploitation.
The event was inspired by Humberside Police’s ‘Clear, Hold, Build’ initiative, which has seen the force work hard to combat organised crime over the past 18 months. The ‘Build’ phase of the initiative now relies on us and our partners to work together to build resilience and support within the community.
LHP believe it is vital that our customers feel equipped to spot signs of concern and know how act on them.
With the school holidays in full swing, we’ve planned the event to resemble a summer fair, featuring a range of stalls for customers to visit, each with a focus on combatting crime and ASB locally.
As well as the educational focus, there’ll be plenty of fun too - including face painting, fairground games, a youth bus, football and more!
The event is a brilliant example of partnership working with LHP stakeholders and community partners, featuring a huge range of attendees from Humber Health Partnership to Crime Stoppers. You can see everyone involved on our poster at the bottom of the article!
By bringing everyone together in a welcoming environment, we’re hoping to continue to build trust and gently encourage customers to help us promote a safer and more supportive neighbourhood.

Thank you for your contribution!
